Final Independent Contractor Rule Released

The U.S. Department of Labor (the Department) is modifying Wage and Hour Division regulations to replace its analysis for determining who is an employee and who is an independent contractor under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).  The regulations were published on January 10 th and are effective March 11, 2024.
